Hello Hornists!
I am reporting on our latest rehearsal, which was earlier today at MCC. Thanks to everyone who came out and played! For those of you who missed, here's what happened:
- We met our goal of starting at 9 am! Keep up the great work and remember to plan on arriving by 8:45 am for warm-ups!
- We rehearsed following pieces for our December concert:
- Ave Maria (dynamics!)
- Fandango (dynamics, articulations, counting, etc. you know what to work on!)
- Cherry Wood Swing
- Scarborough Fair Revisited
- Hungarian Dance no. 5
- Officer Krupke (It is important that the on-beats/off-beats keep time throughout)
- Please be prepared to work on the large group pieces next week, including Candide, Fanfare & Toccata, the Madrigals, What Child is This? and Officer Krupke.
- Fun fact: there are only 5 more rehearsals until our concert!
Special thanks to everyone who helped set up and tear down! Our next rehearsal will be October 22nd at MCC. Please plan on arriving by 8:45 am; see you then!
